Haryana govt to conduct exams of final year students from Jul 1

<span style="color: #222222;">Haryana Government has decided to conduct examinations of final year students in the universities, colleges and technical education institutions of the State from 1st of next month to 31 July. The results of these exams will be declared by August 7.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">An official spokesperson said that the  mode of examination will be conventional and all norms of social distancing,  sanitization  etc. as notified by Union Ministry of Home Affairs,  and State Government will be followed strictly by all Universities and Colleges.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, for the students from outside Haryana who can not appear for the exams, the average of all previous examinations may be taken and they can sit in exam later for improvement of grades.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The spokesperson said, for intermediate semester examinations all the students be promoted to next semester with 50 percent weightage of marks of internal assessment or assignment plus 50 percent weightage of the marks in previous examinations.  However, if the University intends to take examinations of  students of the Campus Departments, they may do so.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The spokesperson further said, students with academic arrears in previous examinations may also be exempted from examinations and are to be promoted to next semester and the reappears are to be carried forward.  So, for first year students only the internal assessment may be calculated for promotion to next year, he added.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The spokesperson said, the practical examinations where ever not conducted, so far, in such cases, marks are to be awarded as an average of all previous practical examinations or the 80 percent average of theory examinations marks of previous semesters whichever is higher.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Examination of students of final year, promotion of intermediate year students to next semester or year and awards of practical examinations in all the Polytechnics of the state will also be held in similar manner, he added.</span><br />''
