In Haryana, the government has initiated the process of release of Jat protesters arrested during the ongoing stir. Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda,today called the cabinet meeting at chandigarh and apprised the council of ministers of talks held with the representatives of the Jat agitators at Hisar on Saturday.

The cabinet took stock of the situation and approved the action taken by the government so far. The cabinet decided that the entire situation should be handled with tact and firmness. The cabinet also took note of the law and order situation in the state.

The cabinet also decided to give special emphasis to schemes relating to development of youth as the State Government’s had declared the year 2012 , the “Year of Youth”.

The Council of Ministers also resolved that the flagship programmes and schemes approved in the budget of the State for the financial year 2012-13 be implemented in right earnest to further promote inclusive development and growth.
