<span style="color: #222222;">The Haryana Government has decided to disburse an additional sum of 18.67 crore rupees directly into the bank accounts of affected farmers as compensation for crop damage during the Kharif season. This assistance is targeted towards those who have borne the impact of crop damage across 1692.3 acres of agricultural land. Addressing a press conference at Chandigarh today, the Chief Minister said that in a proactive move aimed at mitigating the challenges faced by farmers, the government has re-evaluated the compensation framework for crop losses and re-sowing activities during the said season. Following careful consideration, the government has decided to disburse an additional sum of &nbsp;18.67 crore rupees, he added. The Chief Minister said that a total compensation of &nbsp;130.88 crore rupees has been released so far. This includes the compensation amount released on the 14th of December, 2023, which was &nbsp;97.93 crore rupees, the compensation amount released on the 11th of October, 2023, which was &nbsp;5.96 crore rupees, compensation amount for loss of life, which was &nbsp;1.60 crore rupees and &nbsp;6.71 crore rupees for losses to commercial properties in urban areas.<br />''<br />''The Chief Minister said that the maximum amount of compensation of 5 &nbsp;crore 85 lakh 38 thousand 732 has been given to the farmers of Ambala district, followed by Fatehabad, where farmers have received compensation of &nbsp;5 crore 54 lakh 34 thousand 067. In addition, compensation amounting to 3 crore 29 lakh 42 thousand rupees to Kurukshetra and &nbsp;2 crore 50 lakh 22 thousand rupees has been given to the farmers of the &nbsp;Kaithal districts.</span>
