Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that the State Government is considering to introduce ‘Right to Play’ in the State. Announcing this while participating in the second round of Sports and Physical Aptitude Test (SPAT)-2012 at Panchkula Mr. Hooda said that ‘Right to Play’ would ensure the access to optimum physical activity through sports as a matter of right. Mr Hooda said that under the SPAT programme 5000 participants would be selected in which players of 8 to 14 years of age would be given a scholarship of Rs. 1500 per month and players of 15 to 19 years of age would be given a scholarship of Rs. 2000 per month. Chief Minister said that Haryana Premier League would soon be organized in the State, where State level competitions would be held in different sports disciplines. Mr Hooda said that to groom the sports talent, 195 Rajiv Gandhi Rural Stadiums are being set up, out of which 138 stadiums have already been completed. He said that 12 Akademis in different sports disciplines have also been set up in the state.
