In Haryana, three lakh three thousand cusecs of water has been discharged in Yamuna river from Hathinikund barrage on Thursday. The villages in the State along the Yamuna river are facing a flood-like situation. The Government has alerted the Administration of the flood-affected districts. In Yamunanagar, the Administration with the help of locals has blocked the flow of flood water towards a mining pit with stones and mud near Laltopi village about one kilometre from Tajewala head works where a huge breach had occurred on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Yamuna river continued to flow above the danger mark at 206.92 meter in the national capital today. Yesterday it had crossed the 207-meter mark for the first time in 32 years submerging various areas of the city.A senior official said that over 3,500 people have already been shifted to relief camps set up by the government following flood-threat last week. He said all arrangements have been made to deal with the adverse situation.
