Haryana constitutes state level committee for security

Haryana Government has constituted a state level Security Committee to ensure security in six districts – Gurgaon, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Panchkula and Sirsa. The committee will be headed by Inspector General of Police P V Rathi. The step has been taken in view of the information received from Union Home Ministry that the terrorists might enter in Haryana along with Kanwarias ( Shiv Devotees) and target important religious places, refineries and power plants.A police spokesman said that the Mansi Devi Shakti Peeth and Army area of Panchkula, Panipat refinery, Thermal Plants, Sheetla Devi Temple of Gurgaon and religious places of historical city Kurukshetra may be targets of the terrorists. Security has been tightened at these places.
