Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal today conducted a surprise inspection of Gurugram city's cleanliness system. He levied a fine of 1 lakh rupees on the agency responsible for maintaining cleanliness on Kanhai Road due to inadequate cleanliness standards. Furthermore, fines were imposed on everyone ranging from the Supervisor of sanitation workers to the Joint Commissioner. The Chief Minister said that the administration must uphold the cleanliness system, and any lapses will not be tolerated. <br />''<br />''Stressing the collective responsibility to provide a clean environment for citizens, he held senior officers accountable and decided to impose fines for negligence on their part. CM issued directives to deduct 15 days' salary of Municipal Corporation Commissioner and one month's salary of the Joint Commissioner. In addition, he also imposed a fine of 10 rupees on the supervisor of sanitation workers, 1000 rupees on Field Officer Ajay Kumar, 2000 rupees on Additional Sanitary Inspector, 3,000 rupees on Senior Sanitary Inspector and 5,000 rupees on Joint Commissioner Sanjay Singla. Instructions were also given to release salaries of sanitation workers in the next three days.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">During the surprise inspection, the Chief Minister said that sanitation workers have an important contribution in maintaining cleanliness in the cities. He underscored that it is the administration's responsibility to ensure timely payment of their wages. Chief Minister instructed that the salaries of sweepers be disbursed within the next three days. Furthermore, he directed officials to implement qualitative improvements in the city's cleanliness system within the next week. He also urged officers to conduct regular on-site visits to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the cleanliness system.</span><br />
