In Haryana, the state level celebrations on 62nd Republic Day have been organised at Panchkula where Haryana Governor Jagannath Pahadia unfurled the tricolor. Addressing the gathering he paid gratitude in respect to the freedom fighters and brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and sovereignty of the country. He also congratulated people of Haryana for their efforts in developing Haryana as a progressive and prospersous state. On this occasion he said Haryana is proud of his players who have brought laurels for the state as well as nation in the recent Asian games as well as Commonwealth games. He also honoured eleven policemen for their meritorious services including ADG B.S. Sandhu. In another major function at Kaithal Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda unfurled the national flag and addressed the people of Haryana.
