Haryana has taken a leap forward in energy conservation in agriculture sector by becoming first state in the country to mandate installation of minimum four star rated agriculture pump sets for all new tubewell connections. State Minister for Renewable Energy and Power Mahender Pratap Singh said that there is a potential of saving about 35 per cent electricity in agriculture sector by installing energy efficient agriculture pump sets.
