In election-bound Haryana, the number of candidates having a criminal background has increased as compared to the figure of the 2014 assembly elections. <br />''<br />''As per declaration given by candidates in their affidavits, about 10 per cent candidates have a criminal background, whereas the figure was 7 per cent in the last assembly election. <br />'' <br />'' According to a report released by the 'Association for democratic reforms', a total of 117 candidates have declared criminal cases against them.
