Haryana Assembly Budget Session Begins, Congress Moves No-Confidence Motion

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The Budget session of the Haryana Assembly started today with the Governor's address. After the Governor's address the obituary resolutions were passed to pay rich tributes to Kanwal Singh, a former Minister of Haryana, Martyrs and those prominent personalities who have expired between the period from the end of the previous session and the beginning of this session. The two minutes silence was also observed in the house to pay respect to the departed souls.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The main opposition party Congress on the first day of session moved No confidence motion against the government, which was admitted by Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The speaker admitted the no-confidence motion after a head count of over 18 MLAs as required under the rules and fixed Thursday for the debate on the motion.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">The session will continue till 28th of February. Chief Minister Manohar Lal, who also holds the finance portfolio, will present the state's budget on February 23rd.</span></p>
