Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced State’s Employment Guarantee Policy for outstanding sportspersons of the State. The Policy provides for employment to outstanding sports persons in Government Departments, Boards and Corporations and reservation of three per cent seats in professional or technical institutes and universities. At a press conference in Chandigarh, the Chief Minister also announced appointment of 37 sportspersons, who won medals in the Commonwealth and Asian games, to the state police department. Five sportspersons have been appointed Deputy Suprintendent of Police, 18 Inspectors and 14 sub inspectors. Mr Hooda said the Governent has also decided to constitute “Haryan Sports Development Fund” for former sportspersons.
