Food processing industries minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal today inaugrated international food and hospitality fair, AAHAR 2016 In New Delhi. Over 90 countries are participating in 31st edition of AAHAR fair, organised by India trade promotion organization at Pragati Maidan. In her inaugural address Mrs Badal said that India has huge untapped potential in food processing sector as India process only 10 percent of food it produces.<br/><br/>The minister said food processing sector can play a catalytic role in growth story of Indian economy. She expressed her faith that policy decision of 100 percent FDI permission in food processing sector will help in doubling of farmers income by 2022.
