Food Processing Industries Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal today empahsised on creating more cold chains across the country. Addressing National Cold Chain Summit in New Delhi, Ms Badal said, more cold chain infrastructure will ensure better storage of farm produce. The Minister said, 150 new cold chains have been sanctioned recently by her ministry. <br/><br/>She also said, government is doing all efforts to increase farmers' income. She said, 200 crore rupees corpus have been created in National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development for cheap credit for those who are involved in food processing industry. Ms Badal sought cooperation of industry to further improve the food processing industry. The Minister also asked the people to discourage wastage of food.
