Harsh Vardhan on 3-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh from today

Union Minister for Science and Technology and Earth Science Dr Harsh Vardhan today reached the Itanagar, the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh on a Three day visit to state.<br/><br/>After arriving at Itanagar the minister had a meeting with the Science Technology Council, Chief Secretary and Ministers of the state. In the meeting he was apprised with the Science and Technology, Remote Sensing and Science Centre activities in the state. <br/><br/>Later speaking exclusively to Prasar Bharati Dr Harsh Vardhan said that in these two and half years North East has seen speedy development in every field which it has not seen till Modi government came into power. <br/><br/>He said that the central government is giving top priority is to north-eastern states and the issue of north-east and Arunachal Pradesh, which is a strategically important state, is being discussed in every cabinet meeting in New Delhi. <br/><br/>He also said that introduction of science and technology research institutes in Arunachal Pradesh which is very rich in Bio-diversity will help researchers in the field of Medicine, Agriculture and others.<br/><br/>Tomorrow the Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Centre for Bio Resources and Sustainable Development and Rural Technology Centre at Kimin.
