Hardeep Singh Puri on Monday took over the charge of Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry. Speaking to media after assuming office in New Delhi today, Mr Puri said, the Urban housing and development challenges are transformative in nature and he will give his best to meet the targets under various new urban missions. <br/>'<br/>Newly appointed Labour and Employment Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar also took the charge. Talking to reporters, Mr Gangwar said, he will work as per the need of the nation and consult all stakeholders on policy issues. <br/>'<br/>Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh also took over charge. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Singh said, he will strive forward to increase employment under MSMEs and ensure that MSMEs do not face any hurdle in conducting of their business. The Minister also said that he will take forward the works left over by his predecessor to its logical conclusion.<br/>'<br/>Alphons Kannanthanam also assumed the charge of Minister of State for Tourism. Dr Satya Pal Singh took over the charge of Minster of State for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation in New Delhi today. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Singh expressed hope that he will try his best to fulfill the responsibility given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
