Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri today launched a two-day design workshop on Global Housing Construction Technology Challenge in New Delhi. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters, the Minister said, nearly 600 million people of the country are expected to be living in cities by 2030 and a huge task will be to provide them with affordable housing system.<br/>Emphasizing the need of modern technology for achieving the goal, Mr Puri said, Material technology, Smart cities Programme, innovation with resource management and scientific management of waste will be key factor in this regard.<br/>Talking about the commencement of 3rd phase of Swachh Sarvekshan today, the Minister said, the government is very much confident that Open defecation Free under Swachh Bharat Mission will be achieved next year.<br/><br/>
