In Jharkhand, a hardcore Maoist has been killed today in an encounter with police and security forces. He has been identified as Ajay Ganjhu, zonal commander of the CPI- Maoists, who was carrying a reward of 17 lakh rupees on his head.Police has recovered arms and ammunitions from him. Speaking to our Ranchi Correspondent, the CRPF sources said that the encounter took place at Lak Bagha village under Kunda police station in Chatra district.The encounter planned last night, was led by the IG- CRPF, D K Pandey in which Chatra district police force and Cobra battalion of the state also took part. The killed Maoists was wanted in more than 100 acts of violence against the state since 1992, which includes killing large number of police officers including a DSP and damaging of public property.
