<span style="color: #222222;">Mumbai police have arrested Independent MLA Ravi Rana and his wife MP Navneet Rana. The Khar police have registered a case against the Rana couple. Earlier in the day, the Ranas called off their plan of reciting Hanuman Chalisa outside Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's residence in Mumbai, citing that they do not want to disturb the law and order situation in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the city for an event.<br />''<br />''While, earlier in this morning, Shiv Sena workers broke through barricades and tried to enter the premises of the Khar residence of the Ranas. However, the police personnel deployed at the spot  dissuaded the party workers from indulging in anything that would create a law-and-order problem.<br />''<br />''State Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil, reacting to the incident, appealed to elected representatives to conform to the law and behave in a manner which does not disturb peace in society.
