The Vice President Mr. Mohammad Hamid Ansari would visit the important monuments in the Croatian capital Zagreb today. He would visit the Zagreb Cathedral, St. Marks Church along with the Lotrscak Tower and Strossmayer Promenade. He is scheduled to meet the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Mr. Luca Bebic and also discuss the issues of bilateral interest with him. Mr. Ansari would interact with other prominent leaders and intellectuals during the course of the day. <br/><br/>Earlier, the Vice President called for strengthening of the global consensus and the legal regime against terrorism including early adoption of the Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism at the United Nations. He was speaking at the banquet hosted by the Croatian President Dr. Ivo Josipovic in Zagreb last evening. <br/><br/>Mr. Ansari was given ceremonial welcome earlier before meeting with the President Dr. Ivo Josipovic on the state visit to Croatia. Two important agreements were also signed at this juncture. They include an agreement on cooperation on health and medicine and another on the cultural exchange programme. <br/><br/>The agreement relating to cooperation on health and medicine was signed by the Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Mr. Sachin Pilot, while another agreement on cultural exchange programme was signed by the Indian Ambassador Mr. Pradeep Singh. <br/><br/>The first agreement covers the areas including mother and child health, family planning, public health and nursing, medical treatment and pharmaceutical and also the hospital management. <br/><br/>The cultural exchange programme envisages holding of the exhibitions of arts, films and performing arts as well as Indological studies.
