The Haj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia are reaching Arafat today for day long prayers as part of their pilgrimage. More than 1 lakh 65 thousand Indians are among 25 lakh pilgrims who are performing the rituals. According to consul Haj of Indian consulate at Jeddah, the heavy downpour in Mina and surrounding areas yesterday delayed the journey of pilgrims for few hours. He said that all administrative and medical service arrangements are in place to help perform the rituals in a safe and orderly manner. A 25 member Haj goodwill delegation headed by Mr. Saifuddin Soz is also accompanying the Indian pilgrims.

Meanwhile Saudi authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
