Haiti needs 11.5 billion dollars for a complete overhaul of the country

The government in Quake affected Haiti has said that it will need 11.5 billion dollars for a complete overhaul of the impoverished country. Tourism Minister Patrick Delatour said, the reconstruction plan, known as the Preliminary Damage and Needs Assessment, co-authored by international aid agencies, will be put to donors at a conference on Haiti later this month. More than 2 lakh 20,000 people were killed in the quake that caused around 8 billion dollar worth of damage. Around 2 lakh 18,000 quake survivors are still living in temporary camps in the capital city of Port-au-Prince.
