The Election Commission in Haiti has announced a recount of the votes in the disputed Presidential election. Preliminary results put an opposition candidate, Mirlande Manigat and the governing party candidate, Jude Celestin, through to a run-off. But, supporters of the third placed candidate, Michel Martelly said that the official count was rigged against him. The opposition supporters say, there was a deliberate attempt by the unpopular Government to stop people from voting against them.
