In China, hailstones, thundershowers and gales pounded Guangdong Province yesterday, leaving at least seventeen dead, and over 150 injured. The Government says, the natural disasters, which began to ravage cities including Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan and Zhongshan beginning yesterday, affected around 1086 hectares of farmland and caused about 8.42 million US dollars in direct economic losses.
