Home Minister P Chidambaram today demanded that Pakistan interrogate JuD chief Hafiz Mohammad Saeed for the Mumbai terror attacks as all the evidence against him was on its soil.<br/><br/> Reacting to reports that Saeed has been placed under house arrest, Mr. Chidambaram said he has no objection even if it is a face-saving technique by Pakistan. Talking to reporters in Chennai he said that now that Hafiz has been arrested his role in the 26/11 attacks must be investigated. The Home Minister pointed out that when Pakistan is asking for giving evidence, it is not on Indian soil and all the evidence against Hafiz Saeed is on Pakistani soil. He said, therefore, one must investigate in Pakistan and find the evidence in Pakistan. Mr.Chidambaram said the two FIRs, which were filed against Saeed on Friday by Pakistani authorities, are unrelated to 26/11 attacks.<br/><br/>In reply to a question, Mr. Chidambaram said the proposed unique multi-purpose national identity cards would be issued to all citizens by 2010-2011. He said in the first phase this year, 1.2 crore people in about 3,331 coastal villages and cities would receive the cards.<br/><br/> Earlier, he flagged off the Chennai-Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin Duronto Express.The train will cover 2,177 km in 27 hours and 55 minutes compared to 28 hours and ten minutes by Rajdhani Express.<br/>
