In Pakistan, the Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, the mastermind of the Mumbai terror attacks, has been placed under house arrest in Lahore. A senior police official however said; only restrictions have been put on Saeed's movement and that he has been barred from leading the Eid prayers at the Gaddafi Cricket Stadium in Lahore. Pakistan's Geo News reports, Saeed has been put under house arrest and the Police has been deputed outside his residence restricting his movement. A police contingent was deployed outside Saeed's house in Johar Town area of Lahore late last night to restrict his movements. Some of the TV news channels reported that Saeed's movements had been restricted for reasons of security.
