Gymnast Dipa Karmakar who created history by entering the vault final at the Rio Olympics before finishing fourth returned to India in the early morning hours today. She was welcomed at the Delhi Airport with great enthusiasm. Speaking to media at the airport, Ms Karmakar said, she is happy with her performance. The Gymnast said, she knew that she could reach 7th or 8th position but had never even thought of fourth place. Her coach Bisheshwar Nandi said, he is happy with the performance of Dipa. Nandi said, he would have been even more happy if she had got a medal.
