In the National Games, Services retained the gymnastic championship in Thiruananthapuram, bagging nine medals, including seven gold, as competitions in 20 events got completed today. Maharashtra today won golds in both men's and women's Kho Kho events. In Beach Volleyball, Andhra Pradesh bagged gold in men's category while Kerala got gold in women's category. With 35 gold , Services top the medals tally, followed by Haryana with 25 gold and Maharashtra with 23 golds is in the third position. Hosts Kerala is placed in fourth position with 13 golds.In gymnastic championship, the golden girl Dipa Karmakar of Tripura walked away with the individual title in women's category by winning all the five golds in which she took part. Rakesh Kumar Patra of Services became the men's gymnastic champion with three gold medals. Riding on Dipa Karmakar's five-medal haul, Tripura was also adjudged as the gymnastic champion state. In Team gymnastic Championship, West Bengal got gold, Maharashtra -Silver and Punjab -Bronze.
