In Madhya Pradesh, the Gwalior Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court has directed striking junior doctors to return to work till 10:30am today, terming their indefinite strike as illegal.AIR Bhopal correspondent reports that the state government has taken a strict stand against the striking doctors.Defying Essential Services Maintenance Act more than 800 junior doctors of government medical colleges of the state are on indefinite strike.They are demanding increase in their stipend, reduction in their rural bond period from two years to one year and implementation of Doctors Protection Act. About ninety striking junior doctors were arrested in Bhopal last evening under section 151 of CrPC.FIRs have been lodged against 24 striking junior doctors in Indore and seven junior doctors in Jabalpur.The health services have been affected adversely due to the strike in government hospitals affiliated to medical colleges.
