In Assam, government has asked police special investigation team to remain alert to nab the absconding Amarjyoti Kalita and other accused in the case of a molestation of the girl. So far, 12 people have been arrested in the case. The Chairpersons of National Commission for Women Mamta Sarma is in Guwahati to investigate the case. She is scheduled to meet the Chief Minister later in the day. Earlier, a two member team of the commission was sent to Guwahati for fact finding but due to uproar a member of the team Alka Lamba was removed from the Commission after she revealed the identity of the victim.
