Guwahati bound Rajdhani derails in Bihar; no casualty

In Bihar, 14 bogies of Guwahati bound Rajdhani Express derailed between Nangachia and Kharik Station on Barauni Katihar railway section of East-Central Railway this morning. No casualty has been reported in the incident. Talking to AIR, Katihair Railway SP Prem Lata ruled out the possibility of any sabotage behind this mishap. Three coaches which have been derailed are 3rd AC-7, 2nd AC-3, Ist AC-1 and pantry 3. Although up line is alright, rail traffic on Katihar – Barauni rail station has been affected. Nine passenger train have been cancelled. Long route trains including Mahananda, Avadh Assam Express trains have been diverted via Kiul- Malda route. Help line of BSNL is 1072. Relief and rescue train have been sent to the accident site. Top Railway officials have reached the spot. Sepecial Train containg 17 air conditioned bogies have been dispatched from Katihar Rail Station to accident site for the stranded passengers of Rajdhani for their onward journey.<br/>
