Union Minister of State for Home, Communications and Information Technology Mr. Gurudas Kamat visited Border Security Force Frontier Headquarters, Jammu yesterday evening and interacted with the senior officers on various issues related to border management and recent developments on the International Border. He also reviewed the security arrangements made by BSF in view of latest developments on the western borders. The Union Minister was apprised about the prevailing situation on the border, deployment of BSF for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and general security scenario on Jammu International Border and hinterland by Inspector General BSF Jammu Frontier, Mr. S Chattopadhyaya. The minister expressed his satisfaction and happiness with the work of Border Security Force in bringing peace and tranquility in the Jammu region. Mr. Kamat informed the BSF Officers that the central Government is well aware of the problems faced by BSF and assured them that the Government will leave no stone unturned to address the pending issues of the Border Guarding Force. Inspector General, BSF, Jammu Frontier expressed his gratitude to the Government for sanctioning 135ft Composite Bund for Jammu International Border which will go a long way in providing sense of security to the border population and will also help the farmers residing close to the IB to reclaim their cultivated land which will bring all round prosperity to the border population.
