Birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety all over India and abroad. In Jalandhar special programmes were organized in Ravidas Temples. Huge number of people and various political and social leaders participated in these functions. The number of Kirtankar and singers enlightened the teachings of Guru Ravidas. Devotees arranged community kitchens (Langars). Houses and other buildings have been lighted.
