Gurgoan will soon have a second Metro rail line. A Memorandum of Understanding for development of metro link from Delhi Metro Sikanderpur station to NH-8 has been signed. It was signed between representatives of Ministry of Urban Development ,government of Haryana and Managing Director, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation in the presence of Urban Development Minister Kamalnath and Chief Minister of Haryana Bhupendra Singh Hooda.This metro rail link 5 kilometers will be built at a cost of 1008 crore rupees. The designed capacity is for 2 lakh passengers a day and its commercial operation is scheduled from March 2013.
