In Kerala, two fishermen were killed following a gunfire from a passing merchant vessel off the coast of Alappuzha, mistaking them to be pirates.The vessel has been identified as Enrica Lexie, which has reported the matter to the authorities.The Coast Guard authorities located the merchant ship by launching two vessels, CGS Samar and CGS Lakshmibhai, and an aircraft.Indian Navy's INS Kabra also joined the operation. The merchant vessel has been ordered anchorage off Kochi for detailed investigation.
