In Jammu & Kashmir, a gunfight erupted in north Kashmir's Hajin area of Bandipora district after security forces launched anti militancy operation in the area this morning. An official told AIR that acting on a tip off a joint team of Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K Police and Army launched cordon and search operation in Khosa Mohalla of Hajin Sonawari area in the district. <br/><br/>The militants hiding in a residential house indiscriminately fired towards security forces resulting into an encounter. Two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area. No report of any fatal or non fatal casuality from either side was received till now. More details are awaited.
