In Jammu and Kashmir, an encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Tangmarg area of Baramulla district today. Police said, exchange of fire started at 6.30 AM when security forces launched a search operation in Kanchipora village following information about the presence of two militants in the area.<br/>Earlier yesterday, Army killed three militants and foiled a major infiltration bid in Nowgam sector of Kupwara district. Defence sources said, Army's 35 Rashtriya Rifles manning the Line of Control intercepted a group of five to six militants near Jati area in Toot Mari Gali in Handwara area. A gunfight broke out after security forces challenged the militants.
