In Thailand, gun battle has been going on in the capital Bangkok between troops and anti-government protestors barricated in the center of the city. At least two people have been killed and 18 other injured. Hospital sources said, one Italian journalist was also killed in the clashes. The troops today moved against the demonstrators with gunfire, tear gas and water cannon in an operation, which the government says, it will continue throughout the day. At least, 39 people have been killed in clashes since last week. Earlier in the morning, the military made loudspeaker announcements requesting the red-shirt demonstrators to leave the site immediately. On Tuesday, red-shirt leaders had accepted the offer of fresh talks to be overseen by senior Senate figures, but they floundered on the government insistence that the red-shirts must leave the camp prior to talks.
