A gun battle broke out between militants hiding in a house and security forces in Pulwama district of South Kashmir this morning. Acting on a tip-off, police assisted by Rashtriya Rifles troops cordoned Drubgam village in the jurisdiction of Rajpora, 45 kilometers from Srinagar. Police said, as the joint search party sealed the house, the militants hiding there opened fire following which the security forces retaliated. The gun battle is going on when reports last came in.<br/>
