Gulfood 2015, one of the largest annual food and hospitality trade show in the region got underway at Dubai World Trade Centre on Sunday. More than 4, 800 international companies from 120 countries including India are showcasing their products to explore and expand new markets in this region at the event.Indian exporters have showcased a vast range of products from basmati rice to flour, meat, poultry and dairy products. Besides traditional Indian pickles, jams, papad and other ready to eat food materials have been a major attraction at the India Pavillion.The four-day exhibition will host a number of international heads of state, ministers and government officials. Several national trade associations would ink bi-lateral trade agreements and debate food industry trends at conferences and summits scheduled during the event. One of the major attractions is the World Food Security Summit where experts will discuss concerns related to food security across the globe.
