Eid al-Fitr is being celebrated in several countries across Gulf and West Asia region today with traditional fervour and gaiety. Apart from United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia and Qatar are also celebrating Eid today. Other countries in the region celebrating the Eid include Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon. Special prayers have been organised on the occasion and large numbers of people are visiting friends and family, gathering at parks, while special events have been organised by various organisations on the occasion.
