The special court of Ahmedbad has deferred the judgment on the quantum of punishment to the 24 convicts in the Gulberg Society massacre case till Monday. <br/><br/>The special public prosecutor RC Kodekar asked for the time till Monday to submit the details regarding the time spent by the convicts in jail. <br/><br/>During today's hearing, the defence lawyer Abhay Bharadwaj asked the court to give the convicts an opportunity to reform by awarding lesser punishment. <br/><br/>While the special public prosecutor RC Kodekar demanded the capital punishment or life imprisonment to all the 24 convicted victims. <br/><br/>The special court on 2nd June convicted 24 persons in the Gulberg Society case while it acquitted 36 persons. <br/><br/>69 people including former Congress MP Ehsan Jafree were killed in the Gulberg Society massacre in 2002.
