Train services continue to remain disrupted due to Gujjar agitation in Rajasthan. The protestors are holding Dharna at Pilupura in Bharatpur district. Additional police force has been rushed to Bharatpur. Supply of essential commodities has been affected as a result of road blockage in eastern Rajasthan. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed the Gujjars to maintain peace. AIR correspondent Prem Bharti reports that the agitators blocked the Jaipur-Ajmer highway yesterday for more than six hours. About 60 trains have already been either diverted or cancelled, as Gujjars continue to stage dharna on railway tracks in Pilupura. They have now threatened to block, the Agra-Jaipur national highway. Meanwhile, the State Government has announced that the recruitment process for filling one lakh posts will not be stopped, and the interests of Gujjar community will be fully protected. The Gujjars have now come up with fresh demand to provide five per cent reservation from OBC quota.
