In Rajasthan, the Gujjar agitation has badly affected the transport and tourism industry apart from the common man. Train services on Delhi-Jaipur, Jaipur-Kota, Jaipur-Agra and Delhi-Mumbai section are badly hit, as the agitation entered the eighth day today. Bandh in nine cities in Ajmer, Jhalawar and Boondi districts was observed in support of the agitation. In Ajmer the protestors blocked the Ajmer-Ahemdabad highway. Meanwhile, the President of All India Gujjar Aarkshan Sangarh Samiti, Ram Vir Singh Vidhudi began his indefinite dharna in Jaipur. He is demanding reservation quota of OBCs be raised from 21 to 26 per cent and five per cent reservation to SBCs out of this.Common man, railways and industries are worst hit by the Gujjar agitation. Disruption in train and transport services has not only made the life of people miserable but it has incurred heavy losses in industry, particularly in transport and tourism sector.Transport sector alone has suffered a loss of hundred crore. Railway had to refund one crore rupees during the last three days due to cancellation of journey tickets. Normal life was also paralysed in nine cities and towns of Ajmer, Jhalawar and Boondi districts, as Gujjar protestors organized bandh there. Gujjar Leader Col. Kirodi Singh Bainsla along with his supporters is still sitting on railway tracks in Pilupura demanding immediate grant of reservation benefit to Gujjars.
