Railways have incurred a loss of 1500 crore rupees due to the ongoing Gujjar agitation in Rajasthan which has affected the movement of passenger and freight trains. This was disclosed by the Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee in New Delhi today. Describing the loss as massive, she said it is weighing heavily on the Railways which are yet to recover from the burden of 55,000 crore rupees for the implementation of the pay panel report. She said, Maoist attacks on rail property have also cost the organisation around 500 crore rupees.
