In Gujarat, the Marine Commando Wing will be formed by the State Police to provide more security to the coastal area of the state. The State Director General of Police Shabbir Khandwala told this while opening Kutch East Police District last night at Gandhi Dham. He said that Special Industrial Battalion will also be set up to provide security cover to the Industrial units. AIR Bhuj correspondent Sailesh Vyas reports that Kutch is the first district in the State where two Police Districts are now functioning to provide security cover to the vital installations at the major ports – Kandla and Mundra.
