In Gujarat, the water level of Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam has touched the maximum 138.68 metre-height for the first time. Managing Director of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited Dr. Rajeev Kumar Gupta has confirmed this. He said that dam is receiving 6 to 7 lakh Cusecs inflow of water since last one week, while flood situation in downstream and out flow are being closely monitored.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Gujarat to mark the celebrations of highest water level in Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam on 17th of September, which is also his birthday. The Government of Gujarat has planned state-wide 'Namami Devi Narmade Mahotsav'. The main function will be held at Sardar Sarovar Dam site at Kevadiya in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He will also perform puja of Narmada River apart from visiting various projects near the Statue of Unity- the world's tallest Statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.</span><br />
