The former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam has said that the spirit of the people of Gujarat is a role mode for the natural disaster affected people of the world. Releasing a book in Ahmedabad on Saturday night on the rehabilitation after the 2001 killer earthquake in Kutch, Dr. Kalam said that exemplary courage, tendency to give and quality of leadership are the three major factors of Gujaratis which accelerated the rehabilitation process. The Chief Minister Narender Modi on the occasion said that Gujarat has set the landmark in the disaster management. He said that after London of the world war II, Bhuj is the second city in the world where the new development took place as per the old town planning. AIR Bhuj correspondent reports that the book, the spirit of Gujarat turning adversary into opportunity was published by the Gujarat state disaster management authority, which is the first of its kind in the country and coauthored by the journalist Swapan Das Gupta and Ashok Malik.<br/>
