Gujarat Revenue Minister Anandiben Patel to succeed Modi as CM

Gujarat Revenue Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel will succeed Narendra Modi as the new Chief Minister of the state.

BJP legislative party of Gujarat has passed a resolution making Ms.Patel as the legislature party leader at the meeting held in Gandhinagar .

Senior Minister Bhupendra Singh Chudsama has proposed the name of Mrs. Anandiben Patel and was seconded by State Finance Minister Mr. Nitin Patel, Education Minister Ramanlal Vora, Trible Development and Forest Minister Ganapat Vasava and others.

Our correspondent reports from Gandhinagar that Mrs. Anandiben Patel will be the first women Chief Minister of Gujarat. Swearing in ceremony will be held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar tomorrow.

Earlier, Prime Minister designate Mr. Narendra Modi tendered his resignation as Chief Minister to the Governor of Gujarat Dr. Smt. Kamala Beniwal.
