According to the State Health Department the number of recoveries is also increasing rapidly. So far, 37,240 patients have fully recovered from the Corona virus infection. So far, 2,229 patients have lost their lives due to Coronavirus in the state. Rising number of cases in Surat is a matter of concern for the state. The district reported the highest 256 cases yesterday. Surat now has 11,128 cases while the death toll in the district crossed 500 mark. In Ahmedabad, the number of cases has dipped drastically for the last few days. A total of 196 new cases were reported from the district yesterday. As part of its strategy to involve private hospitals in the fight against COVID-19, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation yesterday notified 4 more private hospitals as designated COVID hospitals. </span><br />
